New policy brief highlights Global Accelerator’s role in making political commitments into action

Geneva - In the run-up to the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4) and the Second World Summit for Social Development (WSSD2), this policy brief highlights how the Global Accelerator provides a platform for translating international commitments into national action.
The brief outlines the vision, structure, and early progress of the Global Accelerator. It provides country-specific examples and lessons, demonstrating how targeted policies and financing can accelerate inclusive, sustainable development. It summarizes how the 18 pathfinder countries are affected by the various transitions, and which policy measures they have identified to address the related challenges they are facing, linked with financing options.
