The joint programme titled 'Supporting the acceleration of decent job creation and enhancing social protection for just transition in the Philippines' aims to accelerate the implementation of national policies and frameworks through innovative strategies for decent job creation and integrated social protection, focusing on the construction and transportation sectors.

The programme supports the acceleration of decent job creation and enhances social protection in the Philippines through innovative strategies and stakeholder engagement. It focuses on adopting a Global Accelerator Roadmap and strengthening institutional capacities, directly benefiting at least 800,000 workers in the construction and transportation sectors. The initiative fosters partnerships among various stakeholders, contributing to improved social services and economic resilience, ultimately advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and promoting a just transition.

Expected key results

Outcome 1. By 2025, adoption of a Global Accelerator Roadmap through national, sub-national, and sectoral dialogues and key consultations with stakeholders.

Outcome 2. Enhanced capacities of institutions and relevant stakeholders to fully implement and monitor the GA Roadmap.
