Brief Description

The joint programme titled 'Modern and adaptive social protection and skills development systems for transforming Indonesia' aims to facilitate social and economic transformations in Indonesia to achieve a high-income economy by 2045, eliminate extreme poverty, and meet the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030, benefiting both vulnerable populations and the broader community.

The joint programme focuses on transforming Indonesia's social protection and skills development systems to achieve a high-income economy and eliminate extreme poverty by 2045, while meeting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. It integrates social protection policies, enhances system interoperability, and builds institutional capacity, extending coverage to vulnerable groups. Economically, it aligns education with private sector needs through skills councils and apprenticeship upgrades, while developing innovative financing for vocational training. The programme directly benefits 1,400 individuals and indirectly reaches 58 million, significantly improving social assistance operations and enhancing climate resilience, thereby advancing SDGs 1, 4, and 8.
