Localizing SDGs for the preservation of biodiversity in Equatorial Guinea
Brief Description
The joint programme titled 'Localizing SDGs for the preservation of biodiversity in Equatorial Guinea' aims to enhance local planning and community participation in biodiversity preservation through SDG localization, focusing on training local actors, especially youth and women, to engage effectively in decision-making processes.
The joint programme focuses on localizing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to enhance biodiversity preservation in Equatorial Guinea. It actively trains 40 government officials and 10 civil society organizations in SDG localization, while also empowering 40 youth and adolescents to engage in local planning. The initiative results in the creation and implementation of three integrated SDG-focused local plans, directly benefiting 1,000 individuals in targeted areas. By fostering community participation, particularly among youth and women, the programme significantly contributes to climate resilience and the achievement of SDGs, ensuring sustainable management of the country's rich biodiversity.
